Can I get Health Fund rebates? Yes, if you are covered for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine consultations under your Health Fund policy, you will be eligible for health fund rebates at the Fertility and IVF Acupuncture Clinic. Dr Kirk Wilson (PhD), who is the principle acupuncturist and Chinese medicine herbalist at the Fertility and IVF Acupuncture Clinic, is a registered Chinese Medicine practitioner with AHPRA. This means his services are recognised by all Health Funds which operate in Australia.

It is suggested you make an enquiry with your health fund to gain clarity on your entitlements. Health Funds offer cover for acupuncture, but not necessarily for Chinese herbal medicine. If they do offer cover for Chinese herbal medicine, it is usually for the cost of the consultation only and not the cost of the herbs. Check with your health insurance provider to be sure.
